Hello Kitty has inspired a Hong Kong restaurant that offers dim sum and dumplings resembling the cartoon character.
The restaurant, will soon open at Yau Ma Tei neighborhood on the Kowloon peninsula, reports TIME.
Hello Kitty Chinese Cuisine offers over 40 dishes, of which about half follow popular Hello Kitty themes. The prices range from HK$42 to HK$238 (US $5 to $30), according to a CNN review.
The restaurant's owner, Man Kwong, said he had to seek the approval of Sanrio, Hello Kitty's creater, before setting the resatuaruant's final menu.
Man Kwong promotes clean living and will use the Hello Kitty dim sum restaurant to encourage more people to embrace a healthy lifestyle. Kwong plans to use organic ingredients for healthier options as much as possible and will rely on natural dyes and less oil and less salt, reports CNN.
Hello Kitty is a native of Japan, created by Sanrio in 1974 and brought to United States two years after.
"[But] Hello Kitty is more popular in Hong Kong than in Japan," Man Kwong told TIME.
Sanrio said in a statement that "Hello Kitty is a bright little girl with a heart of gold. She loves to bake cookies and play the piano, and dreams of one day becoming a pianist or maybe even a poet."
The Hello Kitty restaurant is set for its official launch on June 1.
