Pop star Ke$ha has always been known for her weird and wacky personality, but one of her strangest confessions was made recently when the singer admitted to Heat magazine that she was born with a peculiar physical deformity: a tail!
"I had a tail when I was born," Ke$ha told Heat. "It was a tiny tail, about a quarter of an inch, then they chopped it off and stole my tail. That was when I was little. I'm really sad about that story."
As fetuses, all humans develop tiny tails, but only very rarely are children born with them still attached, known as a "soft tail," according to Zimbio. A "soft tail" contains nerves, blood vessels, and muscles, but no veterbrae, so cutting it off will not harm a newborn. And if Ke$ha had kept her tail, she wouldn't have been ableto wag it like a dog's, as we have a feeling she would have gotten a kick out of.
Although she wasn't asked explicity about her tail, the 26-year old was also happy to share more about her life on and off-stage, documented in her latest MTV series, "My Crazy Beautiful Life" that her brother filmed over the course of several years.
"That was one of my favorite things to do, because my fans really got to see the off-stage me versus the on-stage me," she told Heat of the series. In the show, Ke$ha is filmed preparing for tours, performing at concerts and struggling with positive and negative media attention, including notorious celebrity "bully" Perez Hilton.
But we also get glimpses of the singer partying it up behind-the-scenes, and in a recent episode, Ke$ha is shown guzzling her own urine! Yuck!
"Mine isn't that bad, but I'm a very hydrated person. It tasted kind of like candy," she admitted. Oh, Ke$ha!
If you're craving more Ke$ha, you'll be happy to know that MTV has renewed her documentary series "My Crazy Beautiful Life" for a second season.
