Take note Lindsay Lohan! It took more than a year, but Justin Bieber is one step closer to completing the terms of his probation in a vandalism case from last year.
The 21-year-old has finished his required 12 anger management classes and has signed up to work with a "South Los Angeles group to improve its facilities, TMZ reported. Bieber is also expected to complete five days of community service with the Volunteers of America.
"His overall performance on probation has been good and he continues to display a cooperative attitude," the pop muisc star's probation officer wrote on his court report.
In January 2014, the "As Long as You Love Me" singer pleaded no contest to vandalism charges after he pelted eggs at his former neighbor's house in a gated community in Calabasas, California.
The singer was later sentenced to two years probation and ordered to pay $80,000 worth of damages to the homeowners, Jeffrey and Suzanne Schwartz. Bieber has since moved out of the neighborhood after selling his property to current owner Khloe Kardashian.
Unfortunately, Bieber is expected to remain on probation until 2016.
E! Online reported that Los Angeles Superior Judge Anita Dymant scheduled another update for his case for Aug 3.
In an interview printed in Seventeen Magazine's June issue, the singer reflected on his bad behavior and admitted that he was in a rebellious state.
"I was rebelling a little bit. I was getting cockier and cockier. I didn't have people to check me. I looked back and I was disappointed in myself. You have to own up to the mistakes," he shared. "You have to say, 'I'm sorry if I've let you down.' I always want to be honest and let people know that those mistakes aren't who I am. Who I am is someone who really cares about people."
