Briggo Introduces First Fully Robotic Coffee Kiosk In Texas

Briggo has introduced a new fully automated coffee kiosk in the University of Texas campus, which offers various customization options to blend in the right taste of coffee.

An Austin-based coffee company, Briggo, has opened a new coffee kiosk at the University of Texas, which operates quite differently. The Briggo Coffee Haus has replaced the staff by robots, which make the coffee to customers' desired specifications. Kevin Nater, chief executive officer of Briggo, says that the new coffee kiosk lets customers control their "coffee experiences."

The new Briggo machine installed last month at UT is the only location, but very soon the coffee company plans to launch another kiosk at the Austin Airport. Nater says that a "handful" of other kiosks will be launched by the end of this year but has not finalized on the locations. Briggo is targeting airports, hospitals and corporate campuses to introduce the latest technology.

Currently, at UT a person has been assigned to assist those who may find working with the new machine tricky, but Nater emphasizes that the machine needs no human assistance. Briggo takes the responsibility to maintain the freshness of the milk, beans and other ingredients.

The new Briggo Coffee Haus displays fine art work. Customers can place their order through a touch-screen panel placed at the kiosk, which gives a list of customization options for a personal favorite cup of coffee. Briggo says that it will introduce a new option to pre-order via smartphones and customers will receive a text message when the coffee is ready, "eliminating the long waits and variability typical of standard coffee shops," reports the Washington Post.

"We are passionate about bringing exceptional coffee to our customers, and using the highest quality ingredients is imperative," Nater said in a statement. "We believe the overall coffee experience must include convenience and predictability. Our Coffee Haus creates artisan coffee drinks 24/7 with a level of accuracy never before seen in the coffee world, and the automated ordering system via the Briggo mobile website streamlines the process. Our customers easily, quickly get their favorite coffee the exact same way, every single time, without any hassle or wait."
