The 2013 Swimming World Championships resume on Friday from Barcelona. The events begin at 12 p.m. ET. Below is the schedule of events for the day. Watch the live stream HERE.
The biggest story from Thursday was USA swimmer Ryan Lochte finishing first in the 200-meter IM. He's struggled since the start of the meet, but appeared to regain his form in the IM.
"The first two days I wasn't myself," Lochte said, via the Huffington Post. "I was too worried about the outcome of each race, about finishing first, about my times, and that's not me. I am a swimmer who is really relaxed and goes out there to have fun."
Lochte's success on Thursday adds to the pile of gold Team USA is collecting. Missy Franklin and Katie Ledecky are leading the Americans, according to the Associated Press. Franklin, 18, is 4-for-4 at the championships, and Ledecky, 16, is 3-for-3 after swimming the leadoff leg of the 4x200 freestyle relay, AP reported.
"Being part of a team is the most important part about swimming for me," Franklin said. "You want to go out there and race harder than you've ever raced before."
Lochte is slated for four more events and Franklin has three. Ledecky is a favorite in the upcoming 800 free, the event that gave her a gold medal last summer in the London Olympics.
