Fans of Janet Jackson who have been patiently waiting for new material can now let out a sigh of relief, as the singer has announced that a new album and tour is on the way.
The announcement comes after fans have been campaigning since last month for the 49-year-old to make a musical comeback. One fan even created a rather hilarious "missing" poster, complete with basic and detailed information on Jackson, according to the Digital Spy.
The younger sister of the late Michael Jackson, having paid close attention to her fans who have been begging for her to come back, wrote in a post on Twitter: "This year, new music, new world tour, a new movement. I've been listening. Let's keep the conversation going."
Jackson's upcoming 11th studio album will be her first material to be released since 2008's Discipline.
