Lindsay Lohan Community Service PHOTOS: Actress Gardens in Skimpy Dress in New York

Lindsay Lohan is performing her unpaid community service by gardening at a women's shelter in New York.

According to E! News, the punishment stems from a reckless driving case she had in 2012 in Santa Monica, Calif.

The "Mean Girl" actress was ordered to perform 125 hours of community work, which should be finished by May 28.

Judge Mark Young informed the 28-year-old actress of the consequences should she not finish her court-ordered community work, ET Online reported.

Lohan took to Instagram to give a look at her task of helping out at the TLC Women's Shelter in New York. She captioned it: "Gardening #TLC women's shelter."
