We know that Bruce Wayne's Batman and Clark Kent/Kal-El's Superman will go toe-to-toe in next year's "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice." But we also know that they will eventually put aside their differences and team up against a common enemy, laying the groundwork for the Justice League in the process.
That enemy could possibly be the iconic Superman villain Doomsday. It could also be Jesse Eisenberg's Lex Luthor. The infamous criminal mastermind has always used his superior cunning and intellect to cause trouble in Metropolis and across the world. But he's also used it to build a war suit capable of fighting the last son of Krypton one-on-one. Could that battle armor make an appearance in "Batman V Superman?"
"According to a very trusted and reliable source, not only will Lex be the main villain, but he will also get in on the action...and will do so wearing his trademark green/purple warsuit!" Paul Shirey of JoBlo wrote. "That's right, we will finally be seeing Lex don the armor he's worn for decades in the comics and various animated series/films. How will it look exactly? Our source says it will be very much like the many variations we've seen in the past and will obviously fit the style and look of the film (and DCCU films in general). Lex will don the suit for at least part of the film, but it's unclear if it's just in the finale."
JoBlo goes on to explain that some rumors suggest that Luthor gathers Kryptonian technology after the Battle of Metropolis and is able to build his war suit from that. There's also a rumor making the rounds that Lexcorp harvests General Zod's corpse to create the villain Doomsday. Whether or not that is true, it does sound as if this film will feature multiple bad guys instead of one singular threat. These rumors are all unconfirmed at this point so take them with a Kryptonian grain of salt.
"Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" will be in theaters on March 25, 2016.
