It has been a trend these days to reveal some versions of a new flagship smartphone to benefit on the new brand. Samsung, Inc. has revealed a variety of its recent Galaxy S4 and now, HTC tracks a similar footprint. HTC revealed a smaller version of its HTC One, to be called HTC One mini with different colors available only in selected markets. It seems that HTC is not yet done with its trick and is now preparing to pack its flagship in a huger package.
Alleged blueprint of Samsung’s Galaxy Note rival, known as HTC One Max when it arrives in the market this summer, appeared online courtesy of Mobileaks.
The said leak revealed only minimal changes to the smaller HTC One Smartphone.
The HTC One Max is believed to have a 5.9 inch screen, an inch larger than HTC One’s. Apparently, it is also going to use a similar pixel resolution as HTC One’s, giving it a somewhat lower DPI thus making HTC One Max’s display a little less sharp. Another upgrade is the use of Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 2.3 GHz chip in replacement of the HTC One’s snapdragon 600.
Nonetheless, other specs of the device will just be the same: 2 GB of RAM, 4 megapixel rear camera and 2.1 megapixel front-facing camera, with the same dual speaker design. It will carry a 16 GB internal memory, a microSD card slot, and a 3300 mAh battery.
Rumors have it that the Chinese market will release models with dual SIM standby features but will lose the ability of battery replacement.
HTC One Max is scheduled to be launched in September at the IFA trade show, possibly at the same time when Samsung launches its own latest phablet, the Galaxy Note III. It’s still a month away, so there’s plenty of time to decide on what to get.
