Los Angeles airport police used a Taser to take down a 21-year-old man after he breached security Wednesday at Los Angeles International Airport.
NBC4 News reported that Transportation Security Administration officers notified the airport police about a man who was not cooperating during screening process at Terminal 6.
Some passengers were able to get a video of the incident, including actor VerneTroyer, best known for his role as Mini Me in the "Austin Powers" film series. Troyer captured the scene and uploaded it on YouTube.
The video shows a man on the ground with two officers pointing weapons on him. But when the man refused to cooperate and tried to run away, they Tasered him.
"The suspect was not armed and was taken to a local hospital for treatment following the incident," Sgt. Belinda Joseph of Los Angeles International Airport Police said in a statement.
The man was detained at Gate 66 for investigation of his actions, according to RT News.
The man was identified as Christian James Heinz, of Danville, Calif., according to NY Daily News. Airport spokeswoman Nancy Suey Castles said that Heinz was booked at 11 p.m. on Wednesday for trespassing and resisting arrest.
