Mama June Threatens to Sue TLC for Airing '19 Kids and Counting’ Episodes After Josh Duggar Molestation Allegations

Mama June is not happy with the TLC Network. The "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" star is threatening to sue the family network if it continues to air the "19 Kids and Counting" series amidst allegations that the show's stars Josh Duggar was accused of molesting five underage girls as a teen in the early 2000s.

Josh was named in a police report as the "alleged offender" in an underage sexual abuse probe when his father turned him into the Arkansas State Police after he caught him leaving an underage girl's bedroom and "learned [that] something inappropriate happened," according to In Touch Weekly.

The 27-year-old has since apologized for his behavior and admitted to seeking counseling.

"Twelve years ago, as a young teenager, I acted inexcusably for which I am extremely sorry and deeply regret," Josh said Thursday in a statement to People.

"I hurt others, including my family and close friends. I confessed this to my parents who took several steps to help me address the situation. We spoke with the authorities where I confessed my wrongdoing, and my parents arranged for me and those affected by my actions to receive counseling. I understood that if I continued down this wrong road that I would end up ruining my life."

So, what's the problem?

The TLC Network continued to air the "19 Kids and Counting" series even after the child molestation were made public, the New York Daily News reported. The network aired a marathon of the reality TV series on Thursday (May 21) from 7:00 P.M. until 12:00 A.M.

The cable network also has not commented on the show's future in the wake of Josh's apology statement for his "inexcusable" behavior. However, Mama June is reportedly claiming that the Duggar's family drama is worse then her drama.

"Here Comes Honey Boo" was cancelled in October after the network learned that Mama June, whose actual name is June Shannon, was dating convicted child molester Mark McDaniel, who had spent 10 years in prison after molesting her daughter Anna "Chickadee" Cardwell. While they were spotted together several times, Mama June continuously denied having a relationship with McDaniel.

"TLC has cancelled the series 'Here Comes Honey Boo Boo' and ended all activities around the series, effective immediately," TLC told ABC News. "Supporting the health and welfare of these remarkable children is our only priority. TLC is faithfully committed to the children's ongoing comfort and well-being."

Mama June wants the network to take significant action against the Duggar clan.

"June says she never molested anyone and McDaniel wasn't ever on her show, yet Josh Duggar is a central figure on the TLC show and admitted to molesting some of his sisters, who are also on the show," TMZ reported. "What's more, she believes Jim Bob and Michelle covered up their son's misdeeds."

Mama June told TMZ that the network pulled the plug within hours after a picture of her and McDaniel suffered online. She added that she will sue the network for "blatantly unfair and inconsistent treatment" if the Duggars' show keeps airing.

"I read that the Duggar family said this happening with their son brought them closer to God and each other," June said. "So they're saying it's ok to have family touch time? Hell no."
