Google 'Brillo' To Be Introduced During Upcoming Google I/O Conference?

Google aims to join 'The Internet of Things' craze by developing its own software that could control any electronic device connected to the Internet – regardless of whether it has a digital screen.

Google is working on a technology that could run devices that have as low as 64 or 32 megabytes of RAM.

The company's new tech initiative, rumored to be named "Brillo," may be launched during the Google I/O Conference in San Francisco, according to PC Magazine.

Google is likely to release the software for the Android platform becuase the group developing the software is linked to the company's Android unit. The lower memory requirements for devices running the new software would mark a sharp drop from the latest versions of Android, which are primarily aimed at mobile phones with at least 512 megabytes of memory, according to The Information.

The technology is aimed at "smart" fridges, light bulbs and even garden monitors.

Brillo, once released, will be free to interested developers, PC Magazine reports.
