Sunday's final is a rematch of Qualifier 1, which Mumbai won by 25 runs. Chennai ended up having to play Bangalore on Friday in Qualifier 2, earning a spot in the title game after winning by three wickets. Ashish Nehra won the Man of the Match award for his bowling performance, which included figures of 3/28, and Michael Hussey led on the scoring front with 56 runs.
"I have been in good rhythm and luck is also favoring me. I have been bowling well before, but now I am picking wickets and everybody is noticing it. I am sharing this man of the match award with Michael Hussey," Nehra said after the match, according to CricBuzz.com. "... It was a slow wicket, but the new ball does come on to the bat."
Mumbai won Qualifier 1 by 25 runs.
