Kiaya The Dog Loses Eyes To Glaucoma, 'Younger Siblings' Instantly Become Her Guide Dogs

After this dog lost his eyes to Glaucoma his doggy siblings became his guide dogs.

Kiaya, a 10-year-old Akita, lives in Waterford, Mich. with his human mom, Jessica VanHusen, and two doggy siblings.

After Kiaya was diagnosed with Glaucoma - a condition that causes damage to your eye's optic nerve and eventually leads to blindness - she had both of her eyes removed, ABC News reported.

Loosing both of your eyes isn't easy, but Kiaya's compassionate canine brothers Cass, 8, and Keller, 2, stepped up to help their sibling adjust.

"They were kind of bookends to her. They're not fiercely protective but they're always touching her. They're really respectful of her," VanHusen told ABC News.

"Cass definitely took the role upon himself to guide her around the yard which made me of course cry my eyes out," VanHusen added.
