John Stamos wasn't shy to tell the world how heartbroken he was to learn that Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen declined the offer to return to "Fuller House."
The "Full House" reunion series will include much of the older cast, but the writers will have to get creative about explaining what happened to Michelle Tanner - who was played on-and-off by both the Olsen twins.
On Friday, executive producer Robert L. Boyett said in a statement to Hollywood Reporter that the twins won't be returning to the cast. He wished them luck on their "fashion brand and business endeavours," which they will be working on instead.
Stamos, among tons of "Full House" fans, was disappointed to hear the Olsen twins' decision.
After hearing the news, Stamos hash tagged #heartbroken, followed by another tweet saying, "I understand they're in a different place and I wish them the best. I promise you will not be disappointed with our reunion and spin off!!"
"Fuller House" will revolve around D.J. Tanner (Candace Cameron-Bure), a recent widow who has two kids and another on the way. To help raise her family, D.J. asks her best friend Kimmy (Andrea Barber), who also has a teenage daughter, and sister Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin) to move in.
Other "Full House" cast members officially signed on to the show include Dave Coulier as Joey and Stamos as Uncle Jesse. Stamos is also an executive producer on the show.
Bob Saget (Danny Tanner) and Lori Loughlin (Rebecca Donaldson-Katsopolis) are reportedly still in talks.
