Five-year old User Raymond V, the oldest of Usher's two sons with ex-wife Tameka Raymond, is currently at the ICU in Atlanta after getting into a serious accident in his superstar father's pool on Monday, TMZ reports.
Sources tell TMZ that the incident occurred at around 6 p.m. yesterday, and Usher was not home at the time. Usher Raymond V was reportedly playing in the pool with his aunt when he spotted a toy in the drain. The little boy dove down to get the toy and got his hand stuck, and his aunt immediately went in to rescue him but was unable to get his hand out. The maid screamed for help and also dove in to try and save the boy before two men working in the house were able to successfully free him from the drain.
Usher Raymond V was immediately given CPR and rushed to the hospital, and his father soon arrived and rode in the ambulance with his son. Currently, Usher and Tameka are at the hospital with him, and after running a series of tests, doctors say he will be fine, according to TMZ.
This isn't the first time someone in Usher's family has gotten into a life-threatening accident. Tameka's 11-year old daughter son Kile, a child from a previous relationship, passed away after sustaining injuries from a skiing accident last year. Luckily, Usher Raymond V is going to be OK.
Most recently, it has been announced that the R&B superstar Usher will not be returning for the fifth season of "The Voice," and neither will fellow judge Shakira, though they will be coming back for a sixth season of the successful singing competition.
