On Tuesday, marketing research company Nielsen released information about its new N-Score—which ranks celebrities according to their sales influence—and actor Liam Neeson had the top score, making him the most valuable star to have in your next advertisement.
Neeson's N-Score of 94 was determined after an evaluation of the ads he appeared in during the first three months of the year and factors such as public awareness, influence and likeability.
The star of the "Taken" series, "Schindler's List" and many other top films was featured in a popular ad that premiered during the Super Bowl for Supercell's mobile game "Clash of Clans."
"You'll regret the day you crossed AngryNeeson52," he says at the commercial's end in his one-of-a-kind voice.
According to Nielsen, the 62-year-old Irish actor is viewed in a positive light by 78 percent of Americans.
In addition to scoring celebrities, Nielsen plans to offer marketers details about consumers' habits and personalities in relation to specific stars so that they will have a better gauge of which pitchperson would be right to advertise a particular product.
"What do they buy? Where do they shop? What do they watch?" Chad Dreas, Nielsen's managing director of media analytics, told the Associated Press about the N-Score concept.
Nielsen's other high scoring celebs include: Pierce Brosnan (who also scored a 94 but was viewed as having an overall lesser influence than Neeson), Matthew McConaughey, Jeff Bridges, Jennifer Garner, Natalie Portman Sofia Vergara, Jim Parsons, Dennis Haysbert and J.K. Simmons.
