Ryan Seacrest couldn't just take the summer off to relax on a beach. Instead of a vacation, he will be hosting the new television show "Knock Knock Live."
The weekly series - which premieres on Tuesday, July 21 at 9 p.m. on Fox - is a "next generation live reality TV event," according to the show's website. "With high stakes games, huge prizes, big stars and real people in their own living rooms- literally, anything can happen!!!"
Seacrest took to Twitter to describe the show:
"Knock Knock Live"- produced by Simon Fuller's XIX Entertainment and Dick Clark Productions- features Seacrest in a Los Angeles-based studio while his "cohosts" travel across the U.S. to visit unsuspecting people. Friends, families, neighbors and celebs join in to help grant wishes and have fun.
Applications are now being accepted to appear on the show or to nominate someone you feel deserves a life-altering change.
In addition to hosting the program, Seacrest- who is gearing up for the final season of "American Idol"- also serves as an executive producer of the show.
