J.K. Rowling slammed the Westboro Baptist Church for its tweet about threatening to picket Dumbledore & Gandalf's "wedding" in Ireland.
The Twitter battle came after Rowling celebrated along with the many people who were delighted about Ireland finally legalizing same sex marriage through a constitutional referendum, according to the Digital Spy.
She even suggested, with the use of a meme, that "The Lord of the Rings" wizard Gandalf should marry her "Harry Potter" character Albus Dumbledore.
The controversial religious organization immediately took notice of the tweet, prompting them to hit at the author with:
So @jk_rowling wants Dumbledore & Gandalf to marry in Ireland; if it happens, WBC will picket! #NotBanned @pinknews pic.twitter.com/zY7hT09Nv4

Not one to let them get away with their comments, Rowling retaliated with:
.@WBCsigns Alas, the sheer awesomeness of such a union in such a place would blow your tiny bigoted minds out of your thick sloping skulls. — J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) May 26, 2015
The Westboro Baptist Church is highly renowned for being vocally against social issues such as homosexuality, sex education and soldiers taking part in war, as well as against celebrities and other influential people.
