Musical artisit Shakira confirmed she's expecting a baby boy and is very excited.
Shakira choose a German TV network Rtl to reveal the baby's gender.
"It's gonna be a boy," she said. "This guy (Pique) is the best thing that ever happened to me in my whole life. And now we are having a baby."
The singer widely-known for her hit "Hip's don't lie" has planned everything for the arrival of the baby. The couple can't wait to have their baby follow in their footsteps.
"When the baby is born, I'll take him with me on charity trips," she said. "He shall learn that he is able to change the world."
On the other hand, soccer star Pique is waiting the boy to grow up to be a soccer star like his father.
Shakira first announced her pregnancy with the first child on her website:
"As some of you may know, Gerard and I are very happy awaiting the arrival of our first baby! At this time we have decided to give priority to this unique moment in our lives and postpone all the promotional activities planned over the next few days."
She also added that due to her pregnancy she'd be pulling out of the iHeartRadio Music Festival and will also be cutting down on her future work schedules.
