A missing 9-year-old Texas girl kidnapped by her uncle was safely recovered in Louisiana and is physically fine, and FBI agents fatally shot and killed the uncle.
Caitlyn Williams' safe recovery was made possible through the combination of tips from the Amber Alert declared by Benbrook police and from what citizens saw on Facebook.
Police in Texas told NBC 5 that authorities were led to the Louisiana motel after receiving a tip.
Jessie Nicholas Williams, the girl's uncle was fatally shot by FBI agents during a confrontation where an FBI agent was also shot but is not life-threatening, reported Fox News.
Benbrook police told HLN that Caitlyn is back at home and will be interviewed by Child Protective Services.
Caitlyn was last seen riding her bicycle to a friend's house on May 22 but she never made it, according to police who later issued an Amber Alert. Police later discovered that her uncle took her and issued a warrant of arrest.
