Tracy Morgan has scheduled his first TV interview since his involvement in a fatal car accident last summer.
Morgan will sit down with Matt Lauer on the "Today" show on Monday, June 1, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The 46-year-old comedian recently settled a lawsuit with Wal-Mart for an undisclosed amount over the crash that occurred on the New Jersey Turnpike in the early hours of June 7, 2014.
The "30 Rock" star suffered a traumatic brain injury, a broken leg and broken ribs when his limo van was rear ended by a Walmart tractor-trailer. Morgan and a few friends were returning to New York after a show in Delaware. James McNair was killed in the crash and two other were seriously injured an plaintiffs in the lawsuit.
Morgan's lawyer Benedict Morelli has stated multiple times that his client's recovery will take time and that he may never be "the Tracy Morgan he once was."
"He's fighting to get better, and if there's a chance for him to be back to the Tracy Morgan he once was, he's going to try to do that," Morelli said November during a court appearance. "But we just don't know because of the severity of the injuries that he sustained and the fact that he had such a severe brain injury."
