Real estate mogul Donald Trump is set to make an announcement on June 16 in Trump Tower, and on the following day, he is scheduled to travel to New Hampshire.
The announcement is to be a "major" one. The date coincides with his earlier statement that he will decide on the presidential race by the middle of June, stirring up speculations that he may be announcing his White House bid for 2016.
Earlier this year, The Donald has suggested that he is serious about joining the race for the White House. He hired staff in key primary states, started an exploratory committee, and even put off signing for another season of "The Celebrity Apprentice" to give way to his political projects.
In an interview last week, Trump said that his announcement in June will "surprise everyone."
"Let's just put it this way," he said. "'The people who will be happiest after I announce my decision will be the people who want to see someone make America great again," he told The Daily Mail.
Trump has been publicly criticizing President Obama for his war tactics in Iraq, saying that his strategy to defeat ISIS is ineffective and backed by lukewarm effort. In another interview, he said he already has a plan on how to "defeat ISIS very quickly," but he won't tell the public yet.
"I don't want the enemy to know what I'm doing," he said. "There is a method of defeating them quickly and effectively and having total victory," he added, according to Daily Mail.
In an interview with the Washington Post, Trump commented that he had been thinking about running for president seriously because of the things that are happening in the U.S.
"We have to do something because our country's going to hell," he told the Washington Post.
