Fans of "Titanfall" will have to give up their hopes of learning more about the franchise's next installment at this year's E3 event.
Respawn Entertainment announced Friday that it will not provide any new details about the sequel to the multiplayer first-person shooter at E3, according to GamesRadar.
"For everyone asking, we aren't showing anything at E3 this year," Respawn founder Vince Zampella tweeted. "I'll get to actually see all the games!"
"Titanfall" was the first game developed by Respawn, which was founded in 2010 by Zampella and Jason West, who created Activision's "Call of Duty" franchise, along with the founders of game developer Infinity Ward, The International Business Times reported.
The game launched in March 2014 and was well-received by critics, but sales hurt due to it not being available for the PlayStation 4, as the console debuted only a few months prior.
Friday's unfortunate news follows two months after the gaming studio announced "Titanfall 2," which will be available for the PS4, PC and Xbox One, IBT reported.
Respawn still has an opportunity to release "Titanfall 2" details this summer, as the trade show Gamescom is scheduled to take place this August in Germany.
