Hulu's executives said the streaming service made its decision to remove reality show "19 Kids & Counting" after discussing the issue with TLC, the TV network that airs the show.
"We're partners," Hulu chief executive Mike Hopkins, told CNN Money. "We license the show from them [TLC]. And of course, as you know, they took it off of their platforms, so we did the same."
It's unclear if TLC asked for the episodes to be removed, or if it was Hulu's idea.
There may be a possibility for the show to come back to Hulu, since Hopkins told CNN Money the show was removed "for the time being."
Hulu and TLC's decision to remove episodes of "19 Kids & Counting" comes during the Duggar family scandal, in which Josh Duggar, 27, admitted to molesting five underage girls when he was a teenager - four of whom are believed to be his sisters.
Josh and his parents, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, made statements last week apologizing for his actions 12 years ago. They also said that Josh and his victims got counseling prior to the incident.
Several advertisers also dropped the show after the scandal was made public.
