Taylor Swift topped Maxim magazine's Hot 100 list last week, but she accepts that most people don't consider her a "sexy person."
Swift recently responded to the idea that her public perception is "chaste" in an interview with Access Hollywood. She slightly disagreed with the description, saying "that's a way of people saying I'm just not generally a sexy person. That's all that is."
The 25-year-old pop star continued, "It's fine. I've accepted it. I'm a lot of things. Overtly sexy is not one of them... I'm fine with all the other things I am."
For many young people, Swift is a role model and she takes that responsibility very seriously.
"As an artist you should embrace what comes naturally to you, whatever role feels right. I would never encourage an artist to try and fit in to a role that seemed to be created for them by a bunch of record label guys in suits in a conference room," she said. "I think for me it feels very natural to talk to teenagers and people my age... about feelings and what they're going through and their insecurities."
Swift also just cracked Forbes' list of 100 Most Powerful Women. Coming in at No. 64, the "Bad Blood" singer is the youngest woman ever on the list and honored to receive the recognition.
"It feels amazing," she said. "I was really happy that they were willing to put that kind of a title on a young person and say, 'We believe in what you stand for.'"
