LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian have been given the green light for their own reality show. The show, which has the working title 'LeAnn & Eddie,' will air on VH1, the Daily Mail reports.
The six-part series will be based on the couple's lives and will be produced by the same people who are behind "Duck Dynasty." It is designed to give the public a look at their lives, which is constantly in the tabloids, and to "set the record straight," the newspaper reports.
"LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian are bringing what you think you know - and what you don't to VH1. [They] have been a Hollywood supercouple for years for years now, and along with their talent and fames come family, infamy, paparazzi, and tabloid rumors," reads a VH1 press release. "Inside the sanctity of their world they are a typical normal modern family - a married couple, who both have careers and are also learning how to navigate the co-parenting of Eddie's two sons. Life outside the home for them is very different because they live in a fishbowl where the paparazzi stalk them, the tabloids report on any detail and the public gets only part of the real story."
Back in May, the "Spitfire" singer told People magazine that she wanted to do a reality show with her husband because she wanted to give people a look at who they were really were. She said she felt like people paid more attention to the rumors in the tabloids that she wanted to invite people into her home.
"For some reason, everyone is so interested in our lives but they don't actually know about them," she said. "What they read is what they see, we want to be able to take control of our loves again so we want to do a show about us, about our lives."
The show is scheduled to premiere on VH1 either this fall or in the winter.
