Miley Cyrus has collaborated with pop singer Britney Spears for her latest single, "Bangerz." Cyrus released a 10-second clip of the track which sounds like it's definitely exploring her hip-hop side.
She also released another, slightly longer snippet of a new Mike Will Made-It song called '23." The hip-hop record also features rappers Juicy J and Wiz Khalifa.
According to CNN, the "We Can't Stop" singer announced that her new album was titled "Bangerz' on her Twitter page.
"If you don't know why my record is called BANGERZ you'll know as soon as you hear it. Nothing but #BANGERZ," she posted.
The former Disney star has been extremely busy with her music. She posted several photos on Instagram of herself in the studio with Pharrell and Nicki Minaj leaving many of her fans wondering if she was also going to get together with the "High School" rapper for yet another edgy track.
Cyrus recently told Notions magazine that she was considering dropping her last name and just going by "Miley."
"I was thinking about dropping the Cyrus and just being Miley," she said. "There's something powerful about the fact that my name now is like a household name... I think my name means something - it represents something more than just what the media tries to make of it."
Because her last name is such a household staple, she did say that she was having reservations about it. In an interview with Billboard she opened up about the direction and new sound for her latest album. She said it's defiantly going to cross over into the hip-hop realm without her losing her country roots.
"A lot of the beats are produced hip-hop beats," she told Billboard. "But the vocal is very raw and my voice is kind of on top of all the tracks, which is what I wanted."
According to the music magazine Cyrus has been working with Pharrell Williams and "a lot of hip-hop producers that are actually from the South, because I wanted more of that dirty-South vibe, a little ATL in there."
Her latest album "Bangerz" is scheduled to be released next year.
