Kate Middleton's son, Prince George, is less than a month old but the little baby is already getting roles to star on the small screen. According to E! News, Prince George was offered a role to star in the most famous British soap opera, "Coronation Street."
"It would be fantastic to get Kate Middleton, [Prince] William and George there with a pair of tiny baby scissors," show's creator John Whiton told The Daily Star.
Whiston said he wanted the royal family to join the cast but it's a safe bet the Duchess of Cambridge won't be putting her son's acting skills to the test anytime soon.
In fact the royal parents are preparing for their son's christening. According to royal expert Victoria Arbiter, the baptism should be taking place at the end of September or beginning of October. The Duke and Duchess are going to wait for the Queen and Prince Philip to return from their annual summer vacation first, Yahoo! Shine reports.
Arbiter also told Yahoo! that even though the couple have not been following all of the traditions (reportedly not hiring a nanny for example) they will follow tradition when it comes to the christening.
"Given Queen Elizabeth's religious beliefs and William's deep respect for his grandmother, the odds are high that a traditional ceremony will be held for Prince George," Arbiter told Yahoo! Shine.
She said the tradition will more than likely start with the cake served to guests. Many British couples usually freeze the top of their wedding cakes for the christening of their first child, Arbiter revealed. It's likely that Prince William and his wife did this as well.
According to the Los Angeles Times, the royal wedding cake was a traditional fruit cake and included 17 individual fruitcakes and was elaborately decorated. The newspaper reports that it has cream and white icing and was topped with frosted flowers like roses, honeysuckles and lavenders.
Arbiter told Yahoo! the ceremony will more than likely take place at Buckingham Palace in the music and might not be as publicized as the birth was. Prince George is also expected to wear a replica of the original christening gown worn by the family in 1841.
"It will also be a very small and intimate affair," royal journalist Henry Meller told the website. "This will be the royal couple's true inner circle."
