Philadelphia Eagles Rumors: Patriots Were a 'Bully' During Joint Practice; Philly Set to Get Revenge Friday

The Philadelphia Eagles and New England Patriots held a joint practice on Tuesday. Apparently the Patriots didn’t really care it was a practice—they were out there to play as hard as possible.

"I can speak for the whole team," Boykin said according to Comcast Sportsnet. "I felt like (Tuesday), honestly they came out with this attitude to try to bully us, and even though it's practice it's always still a game tempo. I think as a team, and obviously I can speak for myself, I wanted to try to set the tone on myself as an aggressive person (Wednesday) and just make plays."

According to NFL.com, the Patriots—led by Tom Brady—provided a visual textbook on how to run an offense.

NFL.com’s Albert Breer tweeted Wednesday, “Brady ripping the Eagles defense apart.”

Several hours later FOXSport.com’s Jay Glazer tweeted, “Look camp practices everyone is optimistic but I'm telling y'all Brady was just ridiculous. Don't get to see things like that too often.”

A few minutes earlier he had posted to his Twitter account, “watching Brady I think I heard the term "surgeon" at least 7 times today from Pats AND Eagles personnel in awe of how he can carve at will.”

The Eagles personnel are most likely hoping for a better performance from their defense when they square up against the Patriots on Friday in both teams’ first preseason game.

On-the-field play is not the only area in which the two teams have differed recently. The Eagles have announced Michael Vick as their starter for the game. However, the Pats have not been as clear on their quarterback situation for Friday night.

The game is scheduled for 7:30 EDT at Lincoln Financial Field.
