The body of 6-year-old Andrew McComb has been recovered, the Associated Press reported.
Andrew was on a weekend vacation in a cabin with his family when a flash flood swept through their home in Texas. He went missing, along with his mom, sister and several family members and friends.
A Hays County Emergency Operations Center spokesperson said that his body was found near the border of Hays and Bianco counties, and wasn't identified as Andrew until Friday.
The lone survivor of the incident is Andrew's dad, Jonathan, who called his brother David saying, "There was so much water, a big wave, we were going down the river and I lost them."
"I couldn't believe what I heard. I still can't," David told People.
The family's golden labrador retriever named Maggie was found alive hanging in tree branches, reported ABC News. For Jonathan, who is currently suffering a broken sternum, a collapsed lung and a broken rib, it was a "boost of hope."
The search for Jonathan's wife, Laura, and daughter, Leighton, is still on.
Laura had called her sister, Julie Shields, before the chaos, saying, "We are floating in a house that is now floating down the river. Call Mom and Dad. I love you, and pray."
Meanwhile, the bodies of Michelle Charba and Ralph Carey, who were also staying with the McCombs were found earlier this week.
