Rapper Lil Wayne reportedly fought with a referee during a charity basketball event in St. Louis on Sunday, according to TMZ.
Rapper and promoter Loose Cannon Slim’s event, which was meant to stop the violence in an area that has recently experienced a rash of unsettling situations, erupted into a brawl when Lil Wayne reportedly spit onto an official because he felt he was not calling the game like it was supposed to be officiated.
No one was arrested or charged when police stepped onto the scene after an individual dialed police to inform them of an assault, TMZ reported.
Lil Wayne was coaching members of the Young Money rap group against Slim’s squad during the game that was a part of the “Put Down The Pistol” initiative – geared toward bringing peace and change to St. Louis, according to Rolling Stone.
