In addition to her Vanity Fair magazine cover revelation, Caitlyn Jenner also created a Twitter @Caitlyn_Jenner account which gathered 1 million followers only within four hours, creating a new world record, reported the Guardian.
Jenner broke President Barack Obama's world record for the shortest time to get 1 million followers. After Jenner shared her first tweet, her followers skyrocketed.
It took @POTUS a little less than five hours to get to a million; the account currently haas 2.56 million followers. Meanwhile, Jenner already has 2.11 million as of June 2 with only four tweets.
Obama also Tweeted to Jenner, praising her courage.
Jenner's post of the magazine cover that Annie Leibovitz photographed was already retweeted nearly 230,000 times and is expected to increase. The magazine will hit newsstands June 9.
Jenner, the 65-year-old Olympic gold medalist, announced her transition from male to female during an interview with ABC News' Diane Sawyer. She will also be a recipient of the Arthur Ashe Award for courage at the annual ESPY Awards.
