"The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" isn't set to hit theaters until Nov. 22, but fans will enjoy the release of Grammy-winning band Coldplay's single for the film tilted "Atlas" on Aug. 26.
"I have great respect and admiration for Coldplay, and we are thrilled with how well they have connected to the themes and ideas within the film," 'Catching Fire' director Francis Lawrence said in a statement to MTV. "Their unwavering passion and excitement for the project elevated the collaboration even further, and we can't wait to share this music with audiences around the world."
According to MTV, Coldplay is currently working on their sixth studio album, but took the time to announce the release of their single on Twitter.
Oscar-winner Jennifer Lawrence returns as Katniss Everdeen in the second film of the "Hunger Games" franchise. Lawrence and her fellow cast members made an appearance at this year's Comic-Con. The crew talked about the heroine's return to District 12 on her Victory Tour and participating in the Quarter Quell.
"She's struggling with post-traumatic stress disorder after the games while living in Victor's Village, where she never wants for food, and feels useless. She's adapting to a new life," Lawrence told the Comic-Con crowd of her character's evolution.
The panel wasn't all serious, and Lawrence's sense of humor shined at Comic-Con. In fact, Lawrence wittily poked-fun about a kissing scene she had with costar Josh Hutcherson, involving some pretty gross secretions.
"The kissing scenes are going to be really hot, if you're into snot," Lawrence told the panel crowd.
Lawrence also expressed the difficulty about wearing the now famous wedding dress (pictured above), explaining the gown weight and length made it very difficult to walk.
"Wearing the wedding dress was one of the hardest things I've done in my life," Lawrence told the Comic-Con audience, as the gown was reportedly five feet wide in circumference.
