Bethesda Softworks has confirmed that "Fallout 4" will be released for Xbox One, Playstation 4 and PC.
The trailer for the video game reveals details of the latest installment for the post-apocalyptic game franchise. The last installment for this series was "Fallout: New Vegas," which was made available to gamers in 2010. Fans of the series have waited five years for this game, and the developers have five years worth of expectations to meet, Polygon reported.
The "Fallout" franchise debuted in 2001 with a Tactics installment that introduced real-time combat and followed up with "Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel" in 2004 with a switch to consoles and action RPG. "Fallout 3" obtained reviews in the mid-to-high 90s from a variety of review websites. TechCrunch reported. "New Vegas," which is not a direct sequel, had similar gameplay, graphics and mechanics as "Fallout 3."
"Fallout 4" has yet to receive a definite release date, but Bethesda will reveal all the details on the game at this year's E3 conference on June 14, The Independent reported. The company will stream "the world premiere of the game" live for gamers to watch on Twitch and YouTube.
