Women traditionally wore corsets in the early 1900s, but Lori Loughlin just can't commit to that point of authenticity in her Hallmark series, "When Calls the Heart."
Loughlin plays Abigain Stanton on the period drama that is set in a small coal mining town out west at the turn of the century. Although her co-star Erin Krakow straps into her corset every episode, Loughlin can't stay in hers much longer than a couple hours.
"They try every season to put me in a corset and I say 'Okay, I'll try it,' and I really, honestly only make it to lunchtime and then I have to take it off because I can't even breathe," the 50-year-old actress told People.
Loughlin won't need to worry about wearing a corset when she reprises her role as Aunt Becky on the "Full House" spinoff, "Fuller House," on Netflix. The mother of two confirmed her return in an interview with Good Morning America last week.
She will join John Stamos, Dave Coulier and Bob Saget as they help Candace Cameron-Bure, Andrea Barber and Jodie Sweetin launch the new series. Loughlin and her male co-stars will appear in the pilot episode and then make recurring appearances throughout the first season.
