Bindi Irwin has not only matured physically, but mentally as well, and she's showing the world the beautiful woman she has become.
Late crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin's baby girl is about to turn 17, and this may come as a shock to some people considering how young she seemed when her father tragically passed in 2006, according to Us Weekly.
Bindi posted a selfie to her Instagram on Tuesday, and she looks absolutely stunning. The caption proves just how much she has grown.
"To be beautiful means to be yourself. You don't need to be accepted by others. You need to accept yourself," it read. She then added one of her favorite quotes, "'What you do, the way you think, makes you beautiful.' -S. Westerfield"
Bindi told PEOPLE earlier this year that she "wants to encourage other young girls to not grow up too soon."
"Just enjoy the now," she said. "It's so easy for 16-year-olds, including myself, to say, 'I just wish I were an adult.' But we can't wish our lives away. When we're adults, we'll say, 'I wish I were 16 again.'"
Her father knew she'd be such an amazing young woman from the time she was little, telling her she couldn't "date until she was 40."
Bindi's mother, Terri, has also revealed just how proud she is of how her daughters outlook on life.
"I'm very proud of Bindi and proud of her life choices," she said. "I think she has always taken very seriously the opportunity to be a role model. She'd never say that, but she wants to make a difference."
Bindi is also just as into animals as her father was. There are several other pictures on her Instagram of wildlife or her posing with animals.
