"General Hospital" will welcome back a couple familiar faces as the daytime soap opera prepares to say goodbye to one of its most well-known characters.
Jonathan Jackson and Nathan Parsons will reprise their roles as Lucky and Ethan, respectively, for a short arc on the ABC soap this summer, according to Entertainment Weekly. "General Hospital" will bid adieu to their characters' father, Luke, played by Anthony Geary.
The actors will appear during Luke's final days on the show. Geary confirmed his exit last month after appearing in more than 800 episodes since 1978.
"This show has been a huge part of my life for over half my life and Luke Spencer is my alter ego," he told TVInsider in May. "But I'm just weary of the grind and have been for 20 years."
Jackson left the show in 2011 and soon picked up a starring role on ABC's primetime soap, "Nashville." Parsons exited in 2013 and soon got cast on The CW's "The Originals." Both shows were renewed for the 2015-2016 season.
