Things could remain quiet on the Tim Duncan divorce front if the San Antonio Spurs star is able to have a judge place a gag order on his wife, Amy. The NBA veteran is reportedly trying to keep his wife from making any public allegations of homosexuality against him.
An anonymous source told the Hollywood Street King, a gossip blog, that Amy revealed during a divorce proceeding in July that Tim was involved in a longtime homosexual relationship. The source said Tim's alleged partner was a close friend from his playing days at Wake Forest University. The friend reportedly lived with Tim and Amy during the first two years of their marriage, before Tim purchased the friend a condo nearby.
Tim hasn't commented publically on the gay rumors, but HSK's source did add that the 37-year-old is seeking to place a gag order on Amy. A gag order would prevent her from discussing their divorce publically, which would help Tim keep details of his alleged extramarital affair out of the media.
Amy filed for divorce on March 27, citing conflict and discord as the reason. Tim reportedly had her followed and confirmed she was having an affair with her trainer, according to Latin Times.
HSK's source said Tim has tried to placate her by any means possible to keep his own affair a secret.
"Amy treated Tim like a b---- throughout their marriage because she knew he was f---ing his BFF," the source told HSK, via Newsone. "Tim knows Amy was cheating on him but he's willing to give her whatever she wants, because he doesn't want Amy to tell the world that he's bisexual."
Neither Tim nor Amy has addressed the rumors, and it's uncertain if a gag order has already been granted. The veracity of HSK's report is also uncertain - the original article is no longer on its website.
Tim, 37, and Amy have been married for 12 years and have two children together.
