Theo Rossi is a daddy!
Rossi and his wife Meghan McDermott welcomed a baby boy on Monday, June 8 in New York City, according to Us Weekly. It is the first child for both parents.
Their newborn son, Kane Alexander Rossi, weighed 7 lbs., 12 oz. and originally was due on his father's birthday, June 4. The couple confirmed the pregnancy in April when they walked the red carpet at Vanity Fair party during the Tribeca Film Festival.
"My son Kane is healthy and my wife is a trooper and doing great," Rossi told Us Weekly. "No one could have prepared us for the overwhelming joy we would feel when meeting our son. What a beautiful day to welcome our little king into the world."
The "Sons of Anarchy" star and his wife chose not to learn the sex of the baby until the birth. "We don't know what it is, but we're pretty excited about it," Rossi told People in April.
He added, "I'm just excited for this baby for this baby to grow up in New York City because it's the greatest place in the world, and made me who I am."
The 40-year-old Rossi also isn't worried about not getting enough sleep now that he has a baby to take of in the middle of the night. "I don't to sleep [anyways] so it's perfect," he told Us.
Rossi wrapped up seven seasons on FX's "Sons of Anarchy" at the end of last year. He will next star in the films "Low Riders" and "When the Bough Breaks."
