SuperStar Gemini Sets Sail Off The Singapore Cruise Center

The former Norwegian Dream, now the refurbished SuperStar Gemini, was launched after its technical dry dock. The SuperStar Gemini, 50,764-tonnage passenger cruise vessel from Star Cruises, set sail from Singapore Cruise Center HarbourFront Terminal, according to Breaking Travel News.

The SuperStar Gemini boosts an upgraded navigational and safety systems, restaurants of different cuisines such as Chinese, Asian and other international cuisines, entertainment for kids with playroom and swimming pool, spa & health salons and with a passenger capacity of 1,532 and the vessel will house 766 luxury cabins with different layouts such as ocean view rooms, junior suites and executive suites. It also features a shopping area which will sell duty-free luxury retail products.

"This is an important day for us," said David Chua, president, Genting Hong Kong, according to Breaking Travel News. "We are launching a newly refurbished SuperStar Gemini in Singapore with a long-term partner that shares our vision to further develop cruise holiday in Asia. Star Cruises' partnership with SCC, which stretches close to 20 years, will continue to give a boost to the already booming tourism sector in Singapore.

SuperStar Gemini is the latest example of how Star Cruises creates indelible holidays for our valued passengers," he said. "Earlier this year, we completed a refurbishment of SuperStar Virgo and next year, we will refurbish SuperStar Libra. Such ongoing effort reflects our commitment to deliver a unique brand of Asian hospitality to a growing market of discerning global travellers."

SuperStar Gemini will be sent back home to Shanghai from April to October 2013 to provide recreational facility to visitors in North Asia.
