That's so Raven!
"The View" announced on Wednesday that Raven-Symoné is the new permanent co-host on the ABC morning talk show. The frequent guest host will replace the seat vacated by Rosie O'Donnell, who left to focus on her family in February.
Whoopi Goldberg teased a big announcement early in the show before finally telling the audience, "Raven-Symoné is now permanent." The former Disney star joins the moderator along with her fellow co-hosts Nicolle Wallace and Rosie Perez.
Raven walked onstage greeted by uproarious cheers and applause while confetti rained down upon her. She gave Goldberg a hug before taking a seat at the table.
"I am so happy to be here," the 29-year-old actress said (via Deadline). "I brought gifts for each of you," and handed each lady a plate. Goldberg received her favorite - potato chips and watermelon. "Now let's have some fun."
Raven has made 37 appearances as a co-host. She expressed her joy on landing the new gig in a short statement.
"The Disney Company has made another one of my dreams come true! Being a part of 'The View' family will be a wonderful growing experience for me," she said. "The cast and crew are warm and welcoming and has made the transition into daytime talk easier. I have a lot to learn within this new arena, but being the apprentice of these spectacular women will only make me a better person and talk show host."
