Speculation has run rampant ever since it was announced that Carrie Fisher's daughter Billie Lourd will make her big screen debut in J.J. Abrams' "Star Wars: The Force Awakens." Fans have been wondering ever since if she is playing a Skywalker offspring or even Princess Leia herself in a rumored flashback sequence. Lourd addressed some of these prevalent rumors in a recent sit down with Interview magazine.
"I'm not Princess Leia's daughter," she said.
Well, there goes one theory.
Lourd didn't have much else to say on the topic, noting the top-secret nature of the film. While her excitement was palpable - "this is the first job I've ever had - right into the fire" - fans will be disappointed not to squeeze some juicy spoilers out of her. But at least "Star Wars" diehards can stop debating if she's Princess Leia's daughter in "The Force Awakens." In fact, that role may already belong to another character...
