The first signs of communication from Lamar Odom, who has been unresponsive in a coma since Tuesday, have apparently happened. While news broke early on Friday that his heart was responding "much better," it seems as though he may be making some more progress.

"He opened his eyes," an insider told Us Weekly, while another source told Entertainment Tonight that he communicated "yes" when asked if he wanted to see his children. It still remains unclear if this was a verbal response or just a body motion, but this is still the most they've seen out of him in the past few days.

On Thursday, it was even reported that the former NBA star had squeezed his estranged wife Khloé Kardashian's hand and shown some eye movement, but the news today seems to be a significant improvement. While any form of movement is obviously a good sign, doctors still say the hand- squeezing and eye-opening could be involuntarily.

His children, Destiny, 17, and Lamar Jr., 13, have been by his side ever since Kardashian flew them to the hospital in Las Vegas where he has remained unconscious. They broke their silence for the first time on Thursday. "Thanks for your outpouring of prayers and support for our dad," they said in a statement. "We are here with our family and friends. We appreciate everyone respecting our privacy at this time. We ask for your continued prayers."
