Warning: The following contains possible spoilers for Warner Bros.' "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice."

While the much of the recent trailer for "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" has us excited for the upcoming Zack Snyder flick, there was one aspect that stuck out like a sore thumb: Doomsday. Not only did Doomsday look a bit off from a visual perspective, but the reveal seemed to map out the major shifts in the movie and left little to the imagination in terms of the film's structure. Basically, fans complained that they revealed too much in the trailer.

However, "Dawn of Justice" may still have a few tricks up its sleeve.

Yes, the story was laid out in simplistic terms: Batman is wary of Superman. So is Lex Luthor. Luthor manipulates the two to fight. After that, he harvests General Zod's DNA to create Doomsday. Our two heroes (plus Wonder Woman) join forces. End.

But in an interview with France's Premiere magazine, "Dawn of Justice's" production designer Patrick Tatopoulos offered a little tease.

"Doomsday isn't just the final act," he said.

Say what? It's hard to top the threat of Doomsday, a character so powerful that he actually killed Superman in the comics. But "Dawn of Justice" is apparently going to try.

"We are able to tell a story in a fresh way," Tatopoulos continued. "Doomsday is an evolution essentially. Fans may be aware of 'The Death of Superman' story, but this is handled in such a new way."

Okay, so I guess we haven't seen too much in the trailer? It sounds as if Doomsday will wreak havoc for longer than we anticipated based on the trailer and that a few curveballs will still be thrown our way. But if that's the case, how will it impact the central conflict between Batman and Superman? After all, plenty of movie-goers are most looking forward to that aspect of the film.

I guess we'll find out when "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" hits theaters on March 25.
