“Scandal” star Kerry Washington is pregnant with her second child!

The mother of 2-year-old Isabelle Amarachi will soon welcome her second child with husband Nnamdi Asomugha.

The actress’ baby bump was on display Saturday night at the White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner in Washington, D.C. She wore a black one-shoulder Victoria Beckham dress with a ruffled hem and, in most of the photographs from the event, she is hiding her belly with a black Jimmy Choo clutch.

Washington, 39, and Asomugha, 34, try very hard to keep their personal life private. In fact, they kept their June 2013 wedding hush-hush and she rarely talks about daughter Isabelle, who was born April 21, 2014. So it is highly doubtful that she will publicly confirm her pregnancy or announce her due date.

However, during a 2014 interview she did reveal that she felt “really blessed” about having her “extraordinary dreams come true” in both her professional and personal life.

And, even though Washington’s “Scandal” character Olivia Pope had an abortion during the 2015 mid-season finale, she recently said: “Playing her made me feel like I could be a mom. Because she knows there’s always another way - there’s always a way to fix it, there’s always a way to solve it, to win. And I feel like playing her made me feel like, All right, I can do it. I will figure out how to juggle it all.”

Whether or not Washington’s pregnancy will affect the filming of “Scandal’s” 2016-2017 season is still unknown. One report said Season 6 may not debut until mid-season. During her first pregnancy, the show only shot 18 episodes instead of the usual 22.

In addition to her headlining role on ABC’s “Scandal,” which airs Thursday nights at 9 p.m. ET, Washington portrays Anita Hill in the HBO movie about the Clarence Thomas Supreme Court nomination hearings, “Confirmation,” which premiered last month.

Washington’s next public appearance is slated to be tonight at the 2016 Met Gala.
