Dafne Almazán, a 13-year-old child prodigy from Mexico, graduated from the Monterrey Institute of Technology (ITESM) in August, making her the youngest licensed psychologist in the world. The accomplishment is yet another milestone in the young girl's already stellar record, which included her graduating from middle school at 7 years old and finishing high school when she was 9, according to Hello Giggles.
Already named one of Mexico's most powerful women and arguably the country's most famous child prodigy, Almazán does not seem to be stopping. When she is not studying, she plays the piano and teachers other gifted children Mandarin. She recently returned from Denmark to present her simulated satellite project.
What is even more amazing is the fact that despite her being a prodigy, Almazán is pretty much still a young girl, who just happens to be extremely gifted. When asked how she manages all her activities, she candidly states that it's not really all about pushing herself to the limit, reported Global Post.
"It's not actually that hard, to be honest. It's not like getting up really early every day and staying up really late. I just try to organize my time as best as I can so I can do all the things I like," she said.
Almazán's success has made her the poster child for the extremely gifted in Mexico, who usually do not get as much support as the young psychologist. Recent studies have concluded that there are about 1 million underage geniuses in Mexico, but only four percent are given the chance to use their gifts until they reach adulthood.
