Alpha Audiotronics, a startup company in New York, launched Skybuds on Kickstarter Oct. 13 and has become a Kickstarter Staff Pick in just four hours with more than 300 backers and a pledge of more than $112,000.

Skybuds is a pair of "truly wireless" earbuds that fit snuggly in the user's ear, transmitting music and phone calls from your iPhone via Bluetooth. This is especially useful for those who either despise cords or have their earbuds constantly falling out of their ears, Digital Trends reports.

What makes the product ultimately unique is that it comes with a phone case embedded with a battery pack, allowing users to charge their phone and the earbuds once they are inserted back in the phone case. You can charge the case using a USB connector.

There is also the Skybuds app that the owners can download to use other features. With the app, you can check the battery level of the case and the earbuds and locate them if they are misplaced. There is a charge control setting to dictate when the case automatically recharges your phone, Mashable reports. The app also allows Bluetooth connection with other devices.

Skybuds uses Near Field Magnetic Induction, or NFMI, which is similar to the kind of technology used in hearing aids.

It will be available for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6s. As of now, there's no word if it will support other devices, Tech Times reports.
