Chris Pratt and Jennifer Lawrence may be two of the most sought after actors working in Hollywood today, and the two have teamed up for a new romance sci-fi flick called "Passengers."

The two extremely charming actors went to Las Vegas for the annual CinemaCon fest to present the first footage of their upcoming film Tuesday night. The film stars Pratt as Jim, who is a mechanic, and Lawrence as Aurora, who is a writer living in New York City.

The two volunteer to make a 120-year journey trip into space to visit the Homestead Colony, a mission only possible because their bodies are suspended timelessly in "hibernation pods." The journey gets a little complicated for the two characters when both of their pods open prematurely only 30 years into the journey.

The two characters that Lawrence and Pratt play "could not be more opposite," as Lawrence said during the presentation.

"As you can see," Pratt said of Lawrence's character, "She's glamorous, she's from New York, she's an intellect. I play a mechanic and am traveling on the cheapest ticket possible which means I can pretty much eat oatmeal and live in a small cabin whereas she has fancy food and eggs benedict and a beautiful cabin so there is a bit of a [cultural] gap. . . but as our characters rely on each other, they grow very close."

The actors chemistry was abundantly apparent on stage, as they both bantered back and forth with each other. Pratt even dropped his microphone on Lawrence at one point.

"Ow! you dropped it on my foot," Lawrence exclaimed.

"That was the anti-Kanye," Pratt declared. "I dropped the mic on your foot."

"Passengers" was directed by Academy Award-nominated director Morten Tyldum with a script written by Jon Spaihts. When the lights came on after the first footage was shown, Sony Pictures chairman Tom Rothman excitedly declared: "For those of us who love movies in movie theaters, I see that, and I think to myself, 'Let's see Netflix do that.'"

Pratt, for one, thinks that the film will be a huge hit.

"Double up the order right around Christmas because you are going to sell a lot of it," Pratt said, predicting success for the film.

"Passengers" hits theaters on Dec. 21.
