Donald Trump's lawyer has disclosed that her car was targeted by burglars who reportedly tried to take classified information regarding the former president.

Last month, a man and a woman driving a white Range Rover blasted through a security checkpoint at Trump's Bedminster, New Jersey golf club before going to the lawyer's office nearby and stealing into her car, according to CCTV footage acquired by DailyMail.com.

Ex-POTUS' Lawyer Believes Thieves Aim to Steal Confidential Files

Trump's attorney, Alina Habba, who handles some of Trump's most high-profile matters, believes the break-in was a deliberate attempt to obtain legal records and Trump's files. Police told Habba that the Range Rover, which had New York plates, had been stolen from Long Island the day before the event and that three fingerprints were discovered at the purported crime scene.

The suspect automobile is seen pulling up next to Habba's car in the packed Bedminster law office parking lot on security camera footage. A lady exited the Rover's passenger side and hopped into Habba's open car's passenger side.

She emerged from the car after approximately a minute of searching, climbed back into the Rover, and raced away. Two suitcases in the car were stolen although they just contained clothing and a present, according to Habba, a partner at Habba Madaio & Associates LLP in Bedminster.

She said the burglars left her garage door opener, which she claimed police informed her was unusual for a routine car break-in. Requests for comment were not returned by the Bedminster Police Department. Habba said that she had left case papers from Trump's legal battle with New York Attorney General Letitia James in the car by accident, but that she had instructed her assistant to fetch them just two hours before the break-in.

Donald Trump's New York Civil Case

Donald Trump has rejected a judge's order that he answer questions under oath in a civil investigation of the former US president's business conduct by New York's attorney general. The probable appeal will put off James' ability to collect testimony from Trump and his two oldest children, Donald Trump, Jr., and Ivanka Trump, for months.

The Trumps claim that testifying would be a violation of their constitutional rights because their statements may be utilized in a separate criminal investigation launched by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, which James joined in May.

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has also accused James of punishing him selectively because he is a political foe. The Trump Organization may have overvalued its real estate holdings to gain better financing and reduced tax payments, according to James' almost three-year civil investigation.

There haven't been any criminal charges leveled against any of the Trumps. The appeals court's decision-making process usually takes several months although it can be accelerated in circumstances when both parties believe it is urgent, as in this case, Reuters reported.

Meanwhile, it has been revealed that two prosecutors who recently resigned from a New York investigation into Donald Trump's finances did so because the case's district attorney claimed he was not prepared to sanction an indictment.

Attorneys Carey Dunne and Mark Pomerantz, according to a source, were unable to persuade Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg that the evidence acquired in their investigation was sufficient to sustain charges against the former president.

Last month, the two men quit after Bragg chose to stop giving testimony to the investigation's grand jury, providing Trump with a rare bit of good news at a time when the many legal threats against him and his family are growing.

The investigation has been hindered in part by the failure to persuade any of the former president's close colleagues to turn against him and offer evidence that would speak more clearly to his involvement, if any, in a fraud plot, according to Independent.
